Underwriting is picky about statements in ways nobody warns you about — the format, the pages, the date ranges. Pick your bank and what your loan file needs, and this builds step-by-step instructions for your exact accounts — including the interim statement that covers the gap since your last statement closed.

Why I built this

Half the delays in underwriting come down to statements: a CSV export instead of a PDF, a screenshot with the account holder’s name cropped off, a missing page four that was intentionally blank. And every bank hides its downloads somewhere different. I built this tool to spare you the frustration and the guesswork — pick your bank, tell it what the file needs, and follow the steps on screen or send them to yourself. Nothing here is a secret; it’s just the stuff that makes your file move fast the first time.

Your instructions
The golden rules, whatever your bank: always PDF (never CSV, Excel, or cropped screenshots), always every page (even the blank ones), and the document must show your name, at least part of the account number, and the bank’s name. Bank menus change over time — if a step doesn’t match your screen, the universal steps at the top of your instructions work at any institution.

Ally Bank

  1. Log in at ally.com on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Choose Statements and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

Ally is online-only — call 1-877-247-2559 and they can generate an activity letter or statement to date.

Bank of America

  1. Log in at bankofamerica.com on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Go to the Statements and Documents tab and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

A branch can print an official activity report, or call the number on your card.

Capital One

  1. Log in at capitalone.com on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Choose Statements and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

Capital One support (or a Café location) can produce an official activity summary.

Charles Schwab

  1. Log in at schwab.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Go to Accounts, then Statements (under History and Statements), and download each monthly statement as a PDF.

Schwab support can produce an official activity report for any range.

Chase

  1. Log in at chase.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Open the main menu and choose Statements. Pick the account, then download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

Any Chase branch can print and stamp an activity report in a few minutes.

Citi

  1. Log in at citi.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Open Statements and Documents, select the account, and download each monthly statement as a PDF.

Citi phone support can generate and mail or secure-message an activity report.

Citizens Bank

  1. Log in at citizensbank.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Open the Document Center for the account and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

A branch can print and stamp an official activity report, or call 1-800-656-6561 and ask for an interim activity statement to date.

DCU

  1. Log in to DCU digital banking on a desktop browser.
  2. Open eStatements from the accounts menu and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

DCU member services can generate an official account history to date.

Dollar Bank

  1. Log in to Dollar Bank Online Banking on a desktop browser.
  2. Go to My Accounts and open eStatements, then download each monthly statement you need as a PDF (the last two years are available).

A branch can print an official activity report, or call 1-800-242-2265.

Fidelity

  1. Log in at fidelity.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Go to Accounts and Trade, then Documents (Statements), and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF. Brokerage and cash-management statements both live here.

Fidelity phone support can generate an activity summary or letter for any date range.

FNB (First National Bank)

  1. Log in to FNB online banking on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Go to Documents or eStatements and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

Any FNB branch can print an official activity report.

Huntington

  1. Log in at huntington.com on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Go to Statements and Documents and download each monthly statement as a PDF.

Any branch can print an official activity report.

KeyBank

  1. Log in at key.com on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Go to Statements (under documents) and download each monthly statement as a PDF.

A branch can print and stamp an activity report.

Navy Federal

  1. Log in at navyfederal.org on a desktop browser.
  2. Open Statements from the account menu and download each monthly statement as a PDF.

A branch or member services can produce an official account history.

PNC

  1. Log in at pnc.com on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Go to Online Documents (or Statements) and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

Any PNC branch can print an official transaction history to date.

Robinhood

  1. Log in at robinhood.com on a desktop browser (the website has better document access than the app).
  2. Open the account menu, then Reports and Statements (Documents), and download each monthly account statement as a PDF.

Robinhood support (in-app) can generate account verification letters and statements.

Truist

  1. Log in at truist.com on a desktop browser and open the account.
  2. Go to Statements and Documents and download each monthly statement you need as a PDF.

U.S. Bank

  1. Log in at usbank.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Go to My Documents, then Statements, pick the account, and download each monthly statement as a PDF.

Wells Fargo
